Party Poker Keyboard Shortcuts

If you love playing online poker then you no doubt like to play multiple tables at a time, also known as multi-tabling. The problem when multi-tabling is that you can sometimes become tired of using the mouse to control the action of the online tables to decided whether you want to fold, check, bet, call or raise.

Most online poker rooms don't provide keyboard shortcuts for in-game play, however, luckily for players at Party Poker, they’ve come up with some great keyboard shortcuts to enable players to jump from one table to another, folding, checking, calling, betting, and raising with ease and without having to use your mouse.

Players can use Party Poker keyboard shortcuts to select an action in advance as well as acting when the action is on you, just like you can when using the mouse to control the action. This is also very handy for playing on laptops.

Generally, the Ctrl button is the main key that is used to manage the Party Poker keyboard shortcuts.

Ctrl + left arrow - will fold or check/fold your hand;

Ctrl + up arrow - will check or call, and;

Ctrl + right arrow - will bet or raise your hand.

The Ctrl button is an important function of the keyboard shortcuts for players at Party Poker since it helps players to avoid making any mistakes when multi-tabling.

When the Ctrl button is held down on the keyboard the current table will not change so it’s not possible to accidentally make a mistake on another table thinking you were controlling the action at your current table.

When the Ctrl button is released the next table will jump to the front of the screen and likewise with the Ctrl button held down you will control the action at the current table.

If the action is on you and you are determining the bet sizing, when playing no-limit and pot-limit games at Party Poker, simply use the arrow buttons on the keyboard to enter the dollar amount you want to bet.

The bet slider on Party Poker will act in exactly the same way, regardless if you’re using Party Poker keyboard shortcuts or the mouse. Deciding what action to do in advance also remains the same, the only thing that is different is your input method.

Keep in mind that Party Poker Keyboard shortcuts are not enabled by default. Players are required to turn them on in the table preferences. All of the tables and games support keyboard shortcuts on Party Poker except for the standalone Poker Trainer application.

There is also a way to set up keyboard shortcuts with your computer so that when you use a certain key on the keyboard it behaves in the same way then if you had moved the mouse to a specific location and clicked the button. It does take a few minutes to set up, but once setup you can use the shortcuts for other applications and not just to play online poker at Party Poker. Once you get familiarized with using the Party Poker keyboard shortcuts you'll never go back to multi-tabling with a mouse ever again!
